Construction of an Ablution Block at Shamapene Roadside Market

The solar water reticulation system supplements the construction of the ablution block to ensure availability of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene at the market. The facility was drilled and installed at a cost of K296, 943. Besides servicing the market, the water reticulation system will also have taps to service nearby villages. The project is 100 percent complete and in use.

Rehabilitation of the Kandende Bridge

The rehabilitatation of Kandende Bridge along the 6.5Km Kandende-Shamapene Road in Munkuye Ward is at 100 percent and ready for use. The ZDSP funded project was rehabilitated at a of K1,330,953.
The bridge will save as a key link for hundreds of residents in Kandende area and beyond who connect to the Mongu-Lusaka Road.
Kandende area hosts a clinc and schools whose administrators faced challenges to connect to the Mongu-Lusaka Road for additional services as the area become cut off during the rain season.

Construction of a Water Reticulation System at the Slaughter Slab

 

The solar water reticulation system supplements the construction of the ablution block to ensure availabity of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene at the slaughter slab.
Drilled and installed at a cost of K350, 000, the project is 100 percent complete and in use. Notably the system sits on an artessian well which flows naturally from the ground and is providing water for aninamls and nearby communities.
